PRISM Software Download Information

NOTE: USERS OF ZONEVIEW PLUS SOFTWARE

It is recommended that you DO NOT UNINSTALL ZoneView Plus Software before installing the new
PRISM Software. PRISM can co-exist with ZoneView Plus software. All setpoints & schedules will
be maintained when you install the new PRISM software. You can also copy all log files, custom
screen files, unit descriptions etc., from ZoneView Plus to PRISM. To migrate the ZoneView Plus
files to PRISM copy all files with the extensions; CFG, DAT, ALM, SPT, BMP, WMF, GIF and SCR
from the ZoneView Plus directory to the directory PRISM has been installed in. 

Another reason to leave  ZoneView Plus on the computer until PRISM is configured is to insure
that should you have an installation problem or glitch, you will still be able to use the existing
ZoneView Plus software to access your system until PRISM can be properly installed. 

DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Download the file from the website to any directory on your computers hard drive. Open Windows
Explorer and locate the file you just downloaded. Highlight and double click the file
you just downloaded. This will initiate the self extraction utility. The default directory that the
file will be extracted to is C:\TEMP\PRISM. If desired you can select any directory you wish by
typing in that directory path on the extraction utility "extract to directory" box.

At this point be sure that no other programs are running on your computer.
This is very important!!!!! If other programs are running, the program may not install
properly. This includes virus protection programs or other TSR programs that may
be running in the background. Using Windows Explorer, go to the C:\TEMP\PRISM directory or
the directory you chose to extract the PRISM software file into. Highlight and double
click the setup.exe file. Follow the directions on the screen to complete the installation.

IMPORTANT!!!!!!

By default the PRISM software installation program will install the PRISM program to
the directory "C:\PRISM. If you are going to use the custom screen editor program functions
of PRISM, do not change the installation directory during the initial installation or the custom screen
editor will not function properly. 

If for any reason this progarm does not install or doesn't run after installation,
it must be uninstalled using "Add/Remove Programs" loacted in the Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP
Control Panel folder before attempting to re-install it to your computer.
