VCM Controller
Designed with 7 analog inputs, 2 analog outputs and 5 relay outputs. The controllers input and output capabilities can be expanded by use of either 2 slot or 4 slot expansion boards that plug into the VCM Controller by means of a modular cable. The VCM Controller can be configured for control of VAV Units (with or without VAV/Zone Controllers), Constant Volume Units and Make-up Air Units.

Most common HVAC unit control applications can be configured using only the VCM Controller board. If the application requires more inputs and/or outputs, optional expansion boards are available to provide for additional analog, binary or digital inputs and outputs as required. These expansion boards are installed on either a 2 slot or 4 slot expansion base board that connects to the VCM Controller board via a modular cable connection.
The available expansion board configurations allow for (8) additional binary inputs, 4 additional analog inputs, 1 additional analog output, and up to 16 additional binary (relay) outputs. The various expansion boards connect to the 2 slot or 4 slot expansion base boards. Jumpers located on the base boards near each expansion board socket must be set according to the board type installed on that socket.

VAV Zone Controller
This controller is used for VAV terminal or zone terminal applications. It is supplied with modular connectors for ease of installation. Control for fan terminals, electric heat and modulating hot water heat is available by use of an optional expansion board which connects to the controller via a modular cable. The board is designed to use a Modular Room Sensor which also connects to the board via a modular cable.
Room Sensors
Orion Room Sensors are so unique they are patented. The flush mounted sensor is tamper resistant and does not require a guard for protection. The sensors are Type III, 10K ohm thermistor.
The sensors are available in four configurations:
- Sensor Only
- Sensor with Override
- Sensor with Setpoint Adjust
- Sensor with Setpoint Adjustment & Override
Setpoint adjustment affect can be programmed to be between ± 0-5°F.
Sensors are available for connection to the modular wiring system or standard terminal block wiring.

Modular System Manager
The Modular System Manager is an operator’s interface for the purpose of programming and monitoring Orion controllers. The VCM and VAV/Zone Controllers can both be accessed and programmed from the System Manager.

Modular Service Tool
The Modular Service Tool is a system interface that provides a direct link to enable the system operator to view the status, configure and to adjust the setpoints of the VCM and VAV/Zone Controllers .
